Description:
Fourth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, framed by inscriptions ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, the coin's mintage year, "2016," and the face value “5 DOLLARS" below. Around the rim outside that circle, the twelve animals of the Lunar Calendar walking and moon phases counter-clockwise: pig, dog, rooster, monkey, goat, horse, snake, dragon, rabbit, tiger, ox and rat; the monkey is on top.

Description:
The reverse features a finely engraved nimble monkey rendered in walking pose. Fine engraving highlights the animal’s expressive face, attentive eyes, detailed fur texture, slender arms, long tail, and climbing among the branches of a flowering tree, holding onto a branch with another hand trying holding other branch, along with the Chinese character (猴) for "Monkey" to the left and the designer's initials (A over B) are also incorporated into the design to opposite. The coin's metallic purity "1/20 oz .9999 Au" is inscribed close to the bottom rim.
