Description:
The reverse depicts a Tasmanian devil facing right with jaws wide open, teeth visible, ears pricked, and a strong, well-proportioned body with firm limbs and a swept tail. Ground lines set the scene; at the right sits a small square cartouche with “2007.”. The inscription identifies the theme "DISCOVER AUSTRALIA" curves along the upper edge and its name accompanied by weight, purity, and metal content "COMMON WOMBAT 1/25 OZ 9999 GOLD" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the designer's initials (RV) are also incorporated into the design just below.
