Description:
The reverse coin features a mother kangaroo with her joey. In addition to the kangaroo, a representation of the South Cross constellation as well as the seven-pointed Commonwealth Star in the background. The inscription identifies the theme "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO" curves along the upper edge and the weight, purity, and metal content "1/20 OZ 9999 GOLD" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark above right. The designer's initials (JG) appears on kangaroo's foot.
