The reverse features two elegant brolga birds, one with wings partially spread as if in a courtship dance, the other bending gracefully as they stand together on a riverbank. The inscription identifies the theme "DISCOVER AUSTRALIA" curves along the upper edge and its name accompanied by weight, purity, and metal content "BROLGA 1/25 OZ 9999 GOLD" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. In the right field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the designer's initials (SB) are also incorporated into the design opposite it, below the raising leg.
