Description:
The reverse side of the coin features two male kangaroos boxing in the Outback. Male kangaroos are known for their boxing behavior, especially during the breeding season. In this design, the two stand on their hind legs as they throw punches at one another while sparring for a mate. The inscription identifies the theme "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO" curves along the upper edge and the weight, purity, and metal content "1/20 OZ 9999 GOLD" are inscribed close to the bottom rim. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark below right. The designer's initials (WR) appears below left.
