Description:
The coin’s reverse design depicts the largest known lump of gold ever found "Welcome Stranger" (discovered on 5 February in 1869 by John Deason and Richard Oates. The mining occurred in the area of a small town - Moliagul, Victoria), inscriptions identify theme "THE AUSTRALIAN NUGGET, 1/25 OZ. 9999 GOLD, 2005" around above. The layout is clean and the engraving crisp, highlighting the artistic capabilities of the Perth Mint’s master engravers.
