The reverse face features an elegant, detailed depiction of a blooming royal bluebell and unopened buds, complete with its characteristic five petals joined at their bases to form a more or less bell-shaped tube, the designer's initials (HH) are also incorporated into the design at the right side and the face value is inscribed close to the bottom rim. The design is framed by an elegant, scalloped inner border on both sides, which beautifully catches the light against the mirror-like proof fields.
