The reverse features the image was painted by the 18th century Jesuit Missionary artist, Giuseppe Castiglione, standing proudly Tobiano Pinto horse looking back rendered with lifelike detail and enhanced by rich colorization ( nearly all tobianos will have white crossing their topline as well as four white feet with color on a horse’s head, chest, and flanks), with the Chinese character (馬) for "Horse" below right the image and the Perth Mint “P” mintmark is also inscribed below it.
