The reverse of the coin features the image of a finely detailed majestic tiger walking on rugged rocks, its muscular body and expressive stripes fur rendered with lifelike precision and its mouth open, exposing its many teeth and powerful jaws ready to clamp down on prey with pine branches behind, enclosing a crescent-shaped. On the left, the inscriptions: "虎" - Tiger in Chinese character. On the bottom, the inscription: "YEAR OF THE TIGER" - the name of the coin. The designer's initials (BK) are above left.
