The BATTLE of
LONG KHANH

Description:
The reverse of the coin depicts a representation of the Battle of Long Khanh, and depicts at its center against a jungle background a Centurion tank with a soldier partly outside the tank holding a mounted gun, and another soldier holding a rifle next to the tank. Above right, a shot down Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter (known as a “Huey”) is falling down trailing smoke. The designer's logo, a stylized A over B is in the foliage on the left. Two lines, one vertical and one horizontal, meet below left in the manner of a sniper's "cross hairs". Vertically above left, next to the vertical line, YS 507938, which is the map grid reference to the site of the Battle of Núi Lé. Above right, the value 50.
