Description:
Common Caiman is the most widely spread crocodile, ranging from New Mexico to northern Argentina. Full scale hunting began around 1950, and around 500,000 skins are taken annually, but apparently this is sustainable. Adults grow up to 2.5 m and eat mostly water snails and fish.
