The design of this coin tribute to the Battle of Sunda Strait. On the aluminum-bronze center, the Houston Bell from the United States Navy light cruiser "USS Houston" sunk in a night action in the early hours of 1 March 1942 and now in the USS Houston Monument site in Sam Houston Park, Houston, Texas with an inscription "U.S.S. HOUSTON 1930" inscribed on it and the denomination "5 DOLLARS" below, around on stainless steel, "BATTLE OF SUNDA STRAIT' around above and "1942 USS HOUSTON HMAS PERTH 2002" around below.
