Description:
The coin’s reverse depicts the largest and most ornate late 19th century civic building in Australia, Sydney Town Hall, a major landmark in the heart of the city for over 130 years with the clock tower to the design of E. and T. Bradbridge and whose clock was installed in 1884. The inscription identifies the theme "PERTH TOWN HALL" curves along the upper edge and the face value "FIVE DOLLARS" is inscribed close to the bottom rim. The designer's monogram (AM) is also incorporated into the design below left.
