The reverse design principally depicts two paramedics administering care to a patient. Located at the very center of the coin is a Maltese Cross, which is an internationally recognized symbol for paramedics. Surrounding the Maltese Cross is a green ring, a color featured across many Australian paramedic uniforms. The metal relief design under the paint includes twenty-four dots, one dot for each hour of the day, signifying how Australia’s Ambulance services are ready to help 24/7. The creator Aaron Baggio’s initials are included in the lower right hand section of the design in the form of stylized A over B.
