The reverse of the coin features the Bell UH-1 Iroquois (nicknamed "Huey") with an armament gunship,tubular landing skids and two rotor blades on the main rotor in flight, surrounded by a colored ring representing medal ribbons, including the Vietnam Service Medal and colors of the South Vietnamese flag. The legend at the top of the coin reads "VIETNAM WAR" and the bottom shows the denomination "TWO DOLLARS" divided by seven-pointed Australian Federation stars on both sides. The "C" (Canberra) mintmark between the S in DOLLARS and one of the stars.
