The coin's reverse depicts the auspicious nature of the Year of the Pig with a happy, optimistic pig surrounded by lucky hydrangea blooms holding a lucky Chinese coin representing Fu, or Happiness and to left of it Chinese (猪) character for Pig. the inscription "2019 YEAR OF THE PIG" is inscribed close to the bottom rim and face value "ONE DOLLAR" around above. The designer's initials "BK" in tiny letters at the right side.
