The Nimrod is shown which embarked The British Antarctic Expedition of 1907-09 and aims to commemorate the polar vessels Discovery and Aurora which sailed during the 'Heroic Age' of Antarctic exploration. The inscriptions include "INTERNATIONAL POLAR YEAR 2007-2008" around below and "Australian Antarctic Territory" at the opposite. The denomination above the Nimrod ship.
