Description:
The reverse shows a finely detailed image of the male of Superb lyrebird (Menura superba, or Menura novaehollandiae) in a breeding display (the male spread its tail forward over its head and body and shivers while calling loudly) against a vivid colored background of view of the Lush green Subtropical Rainforest and native ferns of Lamington National Park. The inscriptions include AUSTRALIA $1, GONDWANA RAINFORESTS. In the left field, the Perth Mint “P” mintmark and the designer's initials (RV) appears discreetly below it on the lyrebird's tail .
