The coin’s reverse features a finely detailed image of colored image of the iridescent brilliant metallic green, blue, and purple Cuckoo Wasp or emerald wasp in the pad-printing process with lifelike detail, depicts its parasitic lifestyle (from eggs in Mud Wasp nests. the Mud Wasp larva body attacking the “host” egg and at last full wasp) around the image. The designer's signature (AB) appears below and the denomination "1 DOLLAR" above right.
