The coin's reverse features a representation of the converted ex-WWI bomber Fokker Tri-motor aircraft that made the harrowing expedition against the map of the Earth showing the route taken across the Trans-Pacific flight in the background surrounded by inscription identify theme "CENTENARY OF THE FIRST FLIGHT" around above and "ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA" around below. In the right field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears and the the designer's initials (JM) are also incorporated into the design at the opposite above aircraft motor.
