Description:
The coin’s reverse design depicts the largest known lump of gold ever found (discovered on 5 February in 1869 by John Deason and Richard Oates. The mining occurred in the area of a small town - Moliagul, Victoria), inscriptions identify theme “THE WELCOME STRANGER NUGGET” around above and date year of discover and issue year “1869 - 2019” around below. The P mint mark of the Perth Mint below and the designer's initials (SD) in tiny letters in the lowest part of the nugget.
