The coin’s reverse depicts Her Majesty’s cypher E II R (Elizabeth II Regina - Elizabeth the Second, Queen), bordered by lily of the valley, one of the Queen’s favorite flowers and golden wattle, Australia’s national floral emblem. The St. Edwards Crown above center is one of seventy crowns fanning out, one for each year of Her Majesty’s reign. In the exergue, divided by the flowers, the inscription "PLATINUM JUBILEE." The designer's initials (BS) are next to a flower stem below left.
