Description:
The reverse side of the coin comes with a vision of the red kangaroo, the largest species of kangaroo living today. Here, a mother kangaroo with her young joey by her side in scrubland, celebrating the diverse native wildlife of the Australian continent. Included in the design are radial lines suggestive of the setting sun in the background. Among these iconic residents, the kangaroo holds a prominent place. In the left field, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark appears below and the designer's initials (IJ) below left, on the left kangaroo's foot.
