Description:
The coins reverse features Sir William Dargie's famous 'Wattle painting' of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (features The Queen is depicted wearing her wattle gown by Norman Hartnell, which she had worn on her first evening engagement during the 1954 Royal tour in Sydney. She is also wearing a sprig of wattle on her shoulder). Beside her is the personal flag of H. M. Elizabeth II (designed in 1960, features a gold crowned "E" (for Elizabeth) encircled by a chaplet of gold roses) with H.M signature . The inscription Diamond Jubilee and dates 1952-2012 are also incorporated into the design. In the right field, the Perth Mint “P” mintmark appears and metal, weight and purity marks “1oz 999 SILVER” around below right.
