This stunning silver coin features a map-shaped inserts made from minerals or other natural materials. Found exclusively in Western Australia, a colorful blue lepidolite is a lithium-rich mineral which in its most precious form is renowned for a spectacular ‘play of colors’ and has been used in jewelry, ornamentation and other decorative items. The precious insert is encircled by representations of iconic Australian popular Australian wildlife. Shown here are the Kookaburra, Wedge-Tailed Eagle, White Cockatoo, Flying Fox Bat, Richmond Birdwing Butterfly, and Blue Banded Bee against corals in the background alongside the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark left and the designer's initials (AH) at the opposite below the Kookaburra. The metal, weight and purity marks “1oz 999 SILVER,” date "2023" around right below.
