Description:
The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The portrait depicts the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, facing right, and is surrounded by the legend “ELIZABETH II,” “AUSTRALIA,” and the denomination “ONE DOLLAR.”

Description:
The coin's reverse like the original coin, this Royal Visit 50th Anniversary Florin depicts William Leslie Bowles’ image of a British lion and an Australian kangaroo standing side by side. Both animals are spectacularly illuminated in 24-carat gold. As well as the words AUSTRALIAN FLORIN, the dates ‘1954 – 2004’ year of visit and year of issue and the designer's initials (WLB) below lion forelegs. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark is not included.
