Description:
The obverse features the memorial effigy, 6th crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right (the Commonwealth effigy), wearing the George IV State Diadem, the Coronation Necklace and Earrings framed by inscriptions “ELIZABETH II,” "the dates of the Queen's reign 1952 - 2022," “AUSTRALIA, 2023.”. The Queen's portrait is presented in a left-profile relief, next to it is a stag in a rampant pose. The stag is one of the major heraldic beasts of the Queensland coat of arms with the state badge "On a Roundel Argent a Maltese Cross Azure surmounted with a Royal Crown" and a gold column rising from a quartz heap below. It was designed by William Hemmant). In addition, the obverse included information about the weight, purity of the bullion, and the Queensland state Latin motto "AUDAX AT FIDELIS" meaning “Bold but Faithful”.

Description:
On the reverse side placed images of a brolga crane, the official bird of Queensland that has been featured on the coat of arms since 1977, as well as a bull and ram heads, mining tools, and wheat. These all symbolize the vast wealth of resources in the state. The shield with the denomination of the coin "ONE DOLLAR" and the inscription "Queensland" are also on the coin and the designer's monogram (A over B) are at the left side.
