The reverse design depicts the eternal flame surrounded by a pool of reflection, inspired by the Eternal Flame memorial at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. There, a perpetual flame burns as a symbol of eternal life and remembrance of those who gave their life in war. It sits in the Pool of Reflection in the commemorative courtyard. This orange yellow flame center is surrounded by blue tones of water. The legends at the bottom of the coin reads "LEST WE FORGET," "ETERNAL FLAME" and the top shows the denomination "TWO DOLLARS."
