Description:
The coin’s reverse features a finely detailed image of colored image of a Myrmecia gulosa, the red bull ant, (also known as the giant bull ant, Bull sharky shark ant or Bulldog Ant) with its huge mandibles on the front of their heads, and a long, slender body in the pad-printing process with lifelike detail, depicts its natural habitat of elaborate underground nests in southeast Queensland and New South Wales showing the Queen and workers below image. In the left field, the the designer's signature (AB) appears and the denomination "1 DOLLAR" below left.
